The IJL Process

How does it work?
First, you schedule a discreet, confidential interview with us at our Downtown San Diego office located in the heart of the city. This interview enables us to carefully discern what it is you look for in a potential partner. We talk about what has worked for you in the past (and what hasn’t) and what your interests are. Then, we match you with other San Diego IJL clients.

How are clients matched?
We select a person for you based upon the information we discuss in the interview. Our clients are successful professionals that reside in all over San Diego, from Downtown to La Jolla to East County and everywhere in between. We can match you with lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs and much more. Our staff members have years of experience and create matches based on personality and physical requirements. Our service isn’t about video or computer dating; it’s about an insightful, professional IJL staff member hand-selecting appropriate matches based upon your desires, goals, motivations and our instincts.

How is the date arranged?
Once we select a match for you, we contact you by phone to tell you about the San Diego area single we have chosen. We respect your confidentiality and only give out your first name, never revealing your address, phone number or company name. We give you a concise description of your potential date and why we think this match is appropriate. Everything we know about you is taken into consideration for this process.

How and where do I meet my date?
The only work you need to do is to show up at the restaurant and enjoy the date. We handle every step. If your schedule makes meeting for lunch difficult, we can arrange for a drink after work. Our goals are that the match is well-suited and the time and place are convenient for both of you. We schedule dates at some of the best restaurants in San Diego, including Azul La Jolla, Max New York in Downtown, Buon Appetito in Little Italy and many more. Our wonderful restaurant partners help us create an environment that makes getting to know the other person as natural (and fun!) as possible.

What happens next?
Actually, many of our first dates turn into second dates! At the end of the date, you can exchange business cards or phone numbers and make plans to get together again. For second dates, many singles choose dinner at Bertrand’s and Mr. A’s, followed by desert and coffee at Extraordinary Desserts. Following each date, we ask that you call us with feedback. From your comments and overall impression of the person, we’ll fine tune your next match so that we can be even more precise in the future. The process couldn’t be easier

What’s your success rate?
Very high! Many of our first dates result in second dates. And, every week we’re informed of engagements and marriages of our clients. Popular wedding locations include the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla and The Prado at Balboa Park. So, you really have nothing to lose…except for your single life.
